Terms of service
These terms explain what you get when you subscribe, and what you may do with the module materials. They are written in plain English on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them.

Who we are
Taskmaster Modules supplies licensed Taskmaster-branded activity modules to care homes in the United Kingdom. The Taskmaster name and format are used under licence.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
Your account
Creating an account is free. You must give a real name and a working email address, and you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
An account belongs to one person at one care home. If several coordinators need access, please contact us rather than sharing a password — we will sort out a sensible arrangement.
Tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got into your account.
Your subscription
You subscribe to each module separately. A subscription lasts twelve months from the day it starts.
Subscriptions renew automatically each year so your activities do not stop without warning. We will email you before each renewal, and you can cancel a renewal at any time before it is taken.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. We may change the price of a module, but never mid-term: a change only affects you at your next renewal, and we will tell you before it happens.
Cancelling, and the fourteen-day right
Because our modules are digital and available the instant you subscribe, we ask you at checkout to agree to immediate access and to acknowledge that you are giving up the usual fourteen-day right to cancel. This is set out in full on the refund and cancellation page, including how to keep that right if you would prefer to.
Waiving the fourteen-day right never affects your rights if something we sold you is faulty or not as described.
How you may use the materials
While your subscription is active we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to print the documents and run the activities as often as you like, inside the care home named on your account, with your residents and their visiting families.
You may show the instruction video to your own staff for training.
You may not share the documents or video with another organisation or another home in your group, upload them to a shared drive or the internet, sell or hire them out, adapt them for resale, remove our branding, or use the Taskmaster name or logo in your own marketing.
These restrictions continue to apply to any copies you still hold after your subscription ends.
What happens when a subscription ends
You lose access to the module in your dashboard, and any download links stop working.
Documents you printed while you were subscribed may be kept and used inside your own care home. The licence above still governs what you may do with them.
Availability and changes to modules
We aim to keep the site available at all times, but occasionally we need to carry out maintenance, and sometimes things break. We do not promise uninterrupted access.
We improve modules over time; if we update one, you get the update at no extra cost.
Modules are never deleted. If a module is withdrawn from sale you keep full access for the rest of your paid term, and we will not renew it after that.
Using the activities safely
You know your residents and we do not. The materials are suggestions, not clinical advice, and the tags on each module are a guide rather than an assessment.
You remain responsible for your own risk assessments, safeguarding, staffing levels, and for deciding whether an activity suits a particular resident on a particular day.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us for the module concerned in the twelve months before the claim.
We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost income or reputational harm.
Suspending an account
We may suspend or close an account that is sharing materials outside the care home, or otherwise seriously breaching these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
If we close your account for a breach, we will refund the unused part of your term unless the breach was deliberate copying.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you at least thirty days beforehand, and it will apply from your next renewal rather than immediately.
Complaints and contact
Use the contact form on the main page and we will reply by email, usually within two working days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, say so and it will be escalated to the site owner.
