Cookie notice

A cookie is a small file the website asks your browser to keep. It lets the site recognise you between one page and the next.

Without cookies you would be asked to sign in again on every single page, which is why the ones below cannot be switched off.

Sign-in cookies. When you sign in, our authentication provider stores a token in your browser so the site knows it is still you. It is removed when you sign out, and expires on its own if you forget to.

That is the complete list. We set nothing else.

No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking pixels. No social media or search advertising tags. Nobody is following you from this site to another one.

We do not run a general analytics package either. The only usage figure we keep is a count of when a module was opened, which is stored against your account in our own database rather than in a cookie, and is described in our privacy notice.

Many care homes use one office computer or a shared tablet. If that is you, please use the Sign out button on your account page when you have finished. That clears the sign-in cookie so the next person cannot reach your account.

Avoid ticking any offer from the browser itself to remember your password on a shared machine.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear them at any time. If you block ours, the public pages and the catalogue will still work, but you will not be able to stay signed in, so you will not be able to reach your modules.

If we ever add a cookie beyond the sign-in one, we will update this page first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
