Taskmaster Clubs started life as after school clubs for young people. They use the format of the television show to develop important life skills: creativity, teamwork, problem solving, and more.
Taskmaster sessions can now be found at English Heritage sites, on NHS wards, and at live festivals — and, most recently, in services for adults with care needs.
What Taskmaster Care Club is
Taskmaster Care Club is a fun activity designed for people living in or attending adult social care settings, such as care homes or day centres.
We realise that language is an important consideration in this sector, so we do not use the word "Care" in the videos, posters or certificates that participants see. To them, it is simply Taskmaster Club.
What makes a good session
Taskmaster Care Club is designed for everyone to have some fun. The tasks are silly, nonsensical, and will hopefully give everyone a bit of a laugh.
The Club is also designed to have a variety of tasks to suit different skillsets and personality types. Some tasks might be logical, others artistic, or performative, or something more physical. You don't have to hold any particular skills to win. Remind people there is no wrong answer.
It is designed to get everyone talking, especially in the prize task, which gives everyone the chance to speak about their backgrounds and memories. Now go and have fun.
